Conference:
Workplace. Wellbeing. Performance. - Tallinn, Estonia
05. May 2016

How about more engaged employees, higher productivity, fewer claims and sick time?

Can you imagine a team of inspired people who are creative, dedicated and, aware of what they do? Such a team can push the boundaries of what’s possible! What separates a top expert and successful leader from the rest is the mastery of intrapersonal skills (how to manage emotions, thoughts, get insights, etc). What separates a great team from the rest is the ability to co-operate in any given situation. What separates great companies from the rest is their work culture and ethics! Our next Tallinn conference aims to redefine workplace, wellbeing, and productivity based on the aware approach.

In the 21st century, the key to success for any organization is the intellectual capacity of its PEOPLE. The wellbeing of each employee is now recognized as a key determinant of performance – providing productivity and quality in what the company aims to do.

“When you care for your people, you have people who care for your company”

Sir. Richard Branson

Since a healthy workforce is a productive workforce, let's create a culture of wellbeing based on intrapersonal skills mastery that can be translated into productivity and sales. Workplace wellbeing is much more than things - sleep-pods, gym or special features. Rather it is about employee mind-set and skills, a strategy to engage and keep the brightest heads of your company.

Burnout, stress, information overflow, hyper-connectivity, attention deficit, disengagement, and depression … these are the challenges workplaces today face. We regard it our mission to positively disrupt this unsustainable pattern.

“My job as a leader is to make sure everybody in the company has great opportunities, and that they feel they’re having a meaningful impact and are more contributing to the good of society. As a world, we’re doing a better job at that. My job is to lead in that.”

Larry Page, CEO and Co-founder of Google

LET'S EXPLORE TOGETHER HOW TO CREATE SUCH A COMPANY CULTURE THAT SUPPORTS YOUR PEOPLE’S DESIRE TO THRIVE, BE ENGAGED AND CONTRIBUTE BY BECOMING BETTER AT NOTICING AND FUNDAMENTALLY, MORE AWARE.

why this matters?

  • It all starts with you.
The next innovation is not going to come from technology. No matter how elegant or widespread, technology will always need an intelligent human to take charge. In our near future, it's not going to be a question whether machines think, but whether humans do... If we are truly serious about controlling and having a hold on all of this technology, the next innovation will have to concern us, PEOPLE. Personally and collectively upgrading themselves from reactive functioning towards intelligent insight through applying more of their individual awareness.

  • Clarity of mind, intelligent initiative, and meaningful impact.
As more of our daily activities are monitored and our business activities are digitalized, we suffer from data paralysis. The signal-to-noise ratio has jumped from 50% to even 90%, leaving us with just maybe 10% of useful data. This tendency demands impeccable awareness to facilitate self-governance, faster learning, noticing the relevant, avoiding distraction, being present and recharging better. The intra-personal skills relevant include observation, mental silence, distinction and orientation of the situation. The mental tool, when lead by awareness will generate clarity of mind, intelligent initiative, and meaningful impact. Everywhere.

  • One reason for the success of some leading organizations is the use of intuition.
Companies like Apple, Burberry, BMW are winning by design and the intuition behind that design. We can't innovate from the place of constant tension, stress or burnout. Awareness, understanding and efficient management of emotional states opens up the potential of teamwork and collaboration. People who achieve good standards of wellbeing at work orientate towards growth, not merely survival. They are likely to be open to new ideas, feel secure to embrace questioning, have frequent insights, inspire creativity and be more productive. Internal wellbeing is crucial for creativity and intuition to flourish.

  • In today's marketplace, business is about noticing the needs of the customer and the most effective solutions that create meaning.
Workplace wellbeing is about noticing the obstacles employees have and finding efficient ways to eliminate them. Understanding ourselves, we understand others and personal welfare translates into customer welfare. People who have good levels of wellbeing at work provide better customer satisfaction than those with poor levels. The deficit in the ability of people's fundamental skills to notice still remains to be addressed and is the aim of an expanded approach to workplace wellbeing and intrapersonal skills.
